Yesterday, I was extremely flattered to be photographed by Scott Schuman, from http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/. If you don’t have a copy of his book, you should definitely pick up a copy for inspiration. In my opinion, his eye and sense of style is extremely on point!

Yesterday I was wearing:

Coat: A.P.C

Shoes: Surface to Air

Shirt: Club Monaco

Tuxedo Cardigan: JCrew

Jeans: Cheap Monday

Bag: Prada

Scarf: Madewell

I have been gearing up for fashion week, starting this week! I’m so excited to preview the next spring/summer season and check out what all the fashionistas will be wearing to the shows, presentations, and parties! Remember, you can always integrate new trends and ideas into your wardrobe NOW that you’ll be seeing in the upcoming fashion month before they hit the stores in the spring! Just take away something small and you’ll be ahead of the crowd in the next season.
In the next few months I’ll definitely be wearing a lot of leopard. For some reason I’ve become obsessed with the print. It’s something fun to add to your wardrobe. Just remember don’t overdo it…too much of anything can get ugly. I’ve seen leopard print dresses, blouses, leggings, belts, scarves, and bras, so the possibilities are endless. I found this great 3.1 Phillip lim leopard print blouse.

The hotter it gets in NYC the smaller the shorts and skirts are getting! It was a balmy night last night when my friend Cecile and I found some wicked graffiti in Nolita. Art or Vandalism?

Went to a 21st a few weekends ago. Was by far one of the best house parties i have ever been to!
It was a slum style themed party, cardboard boxes everywhere, open fires, mattresses and couches in the backyard, shopping trollies, you name it it was there!
Here are a few snaps of the night. Jack Shanahan took these awesome photos, check out his blog here for more images!

Oh my, you MUST watch this news video from Campbell Live in New Zealand. Firstly, I look like a wreck, but secondly, it’s funny as all hell. It’s really one of the finest, funniest pieces of news reporting ever…borderline Onion but all real.

Soho Rendezvous

I was on my way to a casting in Soho and I ran into my favorite street photographer Craig Arend of altamiranyc again! Did you know he photographs all the fashion parties for style.com during Paris fashion week? What an amazing gig! Anyways, it’s starting to heat up here in New York. When I have a lot of castings I’m walking around a lot, so I like to wear dresses because they’re easy and keep me cool! I like to add belts to my dresses or some necklaces. Sometimes I even throw on a hat to keep the sun out of my eyes. If you want to get creative you can wear a bikini top as a bra under your dress to add a new dimension. In the summer it’s too hot to be fussing around with clothing, so the most important factor is staying comfortable. Do you have any tricks for looking stylish and staying cool?
