I was lucky enough to go home (Cape Cod) for a few days! One of my favorite things to do, and my major source of exercise is taking long, brisk walks. When I’m at home I take walks on the beach because sand is less stressful on the legs and it also creates a little more friction, making the workout a little more difficult. I’ve also recently become Mother to a Samoyed puppy who requires a great deal of walking… and training! Talking a brisk walk daily for 40-60 minutes is a great stress reducer as well. I’ve always hated working out indoors, plus the weather is getting warmer and all the flowers are blooming, releasing delicious scents!
Bodie is the chillest chihuahua I’ve met. She’s sociable (far from timid), doesn’t tremble or yap constantly. And that’s rare!!
I think I have to steal her … and her little jacket too.
FARM NOTE 101: So, now, when we’re on the farm, the one thing every girl needs is a great pair of gumboots… in the states everyone was wearing them all over New York in the winter snow and to muddy music festivals… I’m a fan of picking them up at the local harware store, but if you wanna get tricky, check out these designer versions… Hunter boots… so cute! This is one of the best things about coming home to my family farm… simple things like being able to head outside and finding incredible, warm, ripe berries.. and eat them standing in the field… heaven!
