I was lucky enough to be invited to a Valentino party earlier this week at The Boom Boom Room in The Standard Hotel, NYC. I love any excuse to dress up and it was a great night to see friends and catch up in the new hotel space and see the amazing skyline of NYC

Last night some friends and I got to see the amazing new Sam Haskins Exhibition at Milk studios here in NYC. The party was a celebration for the fist joint book project between Sam and Tommy Hilfiger entitled “Fashion Etcetera by Sam Haskins: Tommy Hilfiger Special Edition.”

Sam is such an amazing and iconic photographer and there were over 100 prints in the show so the crowd got to see a great selection of his works.

Sam Haskins suffered a ‘moderate stroke’ before the show and is “currently being stabilised at St Vincent’s hospital and is eventually expected to recover most of his mobility. He will certainly require weeks of rehabilitation in New York before returning home to Australia”.

Lets all wish Sam a full recovery and continue supporting his work!

Last week my friends and I went to the opening of a new restaurant and lounge that my friends Mark and Eugene from the Emm Group opened. We had an amazing dinner in Abe and Arthur’s that has a  ”cozy D.J.-equipped mezzanine overlooking an airy formal dining room decorated with images of the owners’ grandfathers (Abe and Arthur) and former Brasserie chef Franklin Becker serving refined American food”. We then headed downstairs to the new ’boutique’ lounge called SL where we all celebrated  the opening of the great new spot in the Meatpacking. Get ready for some more photos of the space when we celebrate Jessica Gomes’ birthday there this Friday!

Nicole, Michael Angel and I at my favorite restaurant “Gemma” in the Bowery Hotel. It has amazing vintage decor and exceptional food. We all had a catch up (after we took our sunglasses off) and Angel told me about his amazing new site: Michael Angel (its amazing. Trust me)
