trippy-1My two close friends had a combined 18th birthday! As always these girls have themed parties!
This time it was a trippy sort of themed party! So Basically anything trippy or weird looking! Like Hippies in tye dyed clothing or bright colours!
I went as an intense 70’s gym junkie with the bright headband, sweatbands and leotard to match!
Overall it was a fun night with great outfits and great memories!
These shots at the party were taken by Steve Wall!

Blowing the Cover!

Last week I shot a book cover being published by Simon and Schuster that will come out next year about a young polygamist wife (the 18th wife to be exact) and my goal was to portray a character at odds with her oppressive and complicated situation. This vision came to fruition with the help of my wild head of strawberry blond hair. In other words, my long hair entangled around my face is supposed to symbolize struggle. As if this moment wasn’t strange enough for me, the hair stylist frightened me by breaking out a large device that  resembled a machine gun! Ironically, it was just a leaf blower because supposedly fans just don’t cut it any more. After I was finished shooting, my hair felt amazing and tousled to perfection. I thought it was the bizarre combination of a leaf blower and hairspray. The hair stylist said he used Moroccan Oil in my hair. I was hooked right away, so I started using a dime sized amount in my hair after I showered and my hair looks shinier and healthier than ever. It’s reasonably priced too…you can find it here!
