At work, I’m constantly in heels and my feet ache and even start to twitch from discomfort So lately whenever I have to wear high heels out of work, I’ve been sporting something with a platform. That extra inch of platform makes such a big difference! There are some great platform options everywhere from Christian Louboutin to Topshop.

After a long and very busy fashion week I took a much needed getaway to Mexico. I did plenty of swimming and hid under my own little straw cabana to protect my fair skin. I wear sunscreen every single day and if I’m at the beach I reapply it very often…I’m a bit obsessive. But after years of searching for the perfect sunscreen, my best bet is La Roche Posay Anthelios sunscreen. It’s velvety and it never feels heavy!

During fashion week I had to work for Helmut Lang, who by the way, has some very special pieces due out this Spring/Summer (think spider web leather). I had my eye on these Nicholas Kirkwood beauties! These babies could definitely add some edge to any outfit.

Yesterday kicked off the first day of New York Fashion Week. My first show of the day was for Elie Tahari and hidden among the racks of sun kissed jumpsuits, dewy-faced models, and ravenous photographers  was this buttery soft gem! There’s something sexy about leather and chains…it’s classic with an edge and a bit naughty too! This bag will definitely vamp up any outfit!

I have been gearing up for fashion week, starting this week! I’m so excited to preview the next spring/summer season and check out what all the fashionistas will be wearing to the shows, presentations, and parties! Remember, you can always integrate new trends and ideas into your wardrobe NOW that you’ll be seeing in the upcoming fashion month before they hit the stores in the spring! Just take away something small and you’ll be ahead of the crowd in the next season.
In the next few months I’ll definitely be wearing a lot of leopard. For some reason I’ve become obsessed with the print. It’s something fun to add to your wardrobe. Just remember don’t overdo it…too much of anything can get ugly. I’ve seen leopard print dresses, blouses, leggings, belts, scarves, and bras, so the possibilities are endless.
