This past month I shot an eco-conscious beauty shoot with Gilles Bensimon for Above Magazine - a Vanity Fair-style mag for Avant-garde environmentalists. It took place on a beautiful beach - but unfortunately one located at the tip of Long Island in the middle of winter. Submerged in freezing cold water isn’t my ideal shooting condition - but hey, since when do I call the shots on these things anyway? :o) Despite the cold temperatures, I must admit the opportunity to shoot outdoors was invigorating.

I love how Gilles sat right down in the cold water.

I just got back from a from beautiful Bali, While I was there I researched alot into the facilities for animals as anyone who has been to Bali knows they are not known for their great treatment to animals, I found a great center that looks after the dogs that have been neglected Bali Street Dog Foundation jump on and donate, every penny counts.
I also found this great elephant adventure park up in the Taro forest, where you can ride the elephants for half and hour through the forest and man made lakes, these elephants are well looked after and the park is fantastic.
This is Deli, she is 23 years old, and has been in Indonesia for 5 years.

After the half hour ride, you can purchase food baskets which come with corn and Pinapple, Deli’s mouth was open from the moment she saw the basket to the last piece of corn! Piglet.

I took my best friends Holly (visiting from NZ) and Julia for a Melbourne adventure. We went from the Victorian markets, to the melbourne zoo, to a lovely park in the city, we all had such a great time on our city adventure! Aimee x

I was in Melbourne this week for a few jobs and with a bit of time to spare so i went to the Melbourne Aquarium, they have Penguins, Sharks and loads of incredible fish, it is defiantly worth checking out if your down that way!  But I  met this one guy and it was love at first sight I named him Bertie, he posed for the pictures and we stared into each others eyes for about 20 mins…. I had never met anyone with bigger lips then me!!

Its Fall, a beautiful time of the year when the leaves turn from green to red, orange and yellow.
Our collection of old bicycles (lovingly saved from the garbage) are perfect for exploring the neighbourhood when friends visit from the city.

For the latest Harpers Bazaar issue, we flew to a private island in Vanuatu.

Here is me doing my best Vanuatuan postcard girl pose with another giant plant. I spent 4 days barefoot and happy.

This was my home for the week.. a 300 year old javanese hut that had been transported in pieces and rebuilt on site. It was made entirely of wood and the floors were worn soft from years of use. It was a very special experience to be in the historical home of many generations and occupants before me.

This mother duck and her teenage duckling would come visit at dawn every morning and as you can see, they weren’t shy. They just waddled right in the back door.

We went horseriding in the rain and wore helmuts to protect ourselves not just from falling off but from the palms which were heavily loaded with coconuts.
