Its Fall, a beautiful time of the year when the leaves turn from green to red, orange and yellow.
Our collection of old bicycles (lovingly saved from the garbage) are perfect for exploring the neighbourhood when friends visit from the city.
Fiery red tree ‘glowing’ on the river near my house…
The crew getting ready for our Sunday ride. My favourite bike is the vintage tandem out front!
Tas and me, whirring and blurry together.
Scott and Morgy, a perfect team on the tandem.

Before I took the grueling 24 hour flight back home to Perth yesterday, some of my aussie girls and I (Morgan Hyslop, Chelsea Scanlan and Lauren Brown) got to go on one of my friends boats for an amazing tour of the Hudson river in NYC. Rassi from Milk studios in NYC invited the girls and I, it really is the best way to see the west side of the city and soak in the bright lights and the energy that New York offers. We sat on the front of the boat the whole time and nibbled on appetizers and sipped amazing margaritas. This is the life!

Today, I got a Ripstik, the new two-wheel skateboard that bends in the middle. I had my first practice today at Bronte and I’m not so bad! I’m so excited!!

This weekend I decided to re-vamp the bathroom so I painted it pink!
I was inspired by the colour of my vintage conch shell lamp (you can see it in the last picture)
I used Benjamin Moore Natura paint which is VOC free and not stinky like most other paints.

Goofing around and ‘reading’ the newspaper on my newspaper-protected loo.

‘Cutting’- which is the second stage of painting. You have to do all the corners and edges with a slanted paint brush before using the roller.

The finished product… very sweet and cottagey, I love it!

I shot this video on my recent trip to the Bahamas. The kids were playing around on the street with anything they could find and my friends and I tried to give them a few skating lessons. They are such adorable kids and they have such a happy disposition. I love how skate and street culture can cross so many age groups, cultures, economic climates and personalities.

Skate and street culture crosses with the art world a lot as well, as you can see in these wicked decks by Marilyn Minter, Murakami and Damien Hirst for Supreme Skateboards.
This video of the late night skaters at Union Square in NYC just shows the difference of cultures but how simple activities can really translate and entertain.

Nikki Phillips and I are working together for the 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty and while we were having a good ol’ chinwag the other night I was able to convince her to come to a pole dancing lesson with me! Here’s a vid - Nikki totally rocked for her first EVER lesson!
