So, last week I worked for Nina Ricci and got a sneak peek at Peter Copping’s pre-fall collection. I became enamored with all the delicate and light colors used throughout the collection. Everything is very feminine with a bit of an edge. I’m one to wear a lot of black, navy, grey, and nude, so this collection has inspired me to add some very pale pastels into my wardrobe.

Yesterday, I was extremely flattered to be photographed by Scott Schuman, from http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/. If you don’t have a copy of his book, you should definitely pick up a copy for inspiration. In my opinion, his eye and sense of style is extremely on point!

I just finished baking an apple pie with leaf and acorn accents!

One of my favorite design duos is the Proenza Schouler team. Their attention to detail is brilliant and their latest accessories are a must-have for any girl on the move. Lately, I’ve been trekking and traveling with Proenza Schouler’s PS1 medium leather bag in khaki. I love that it looks a bit like a briefcase and the strap is removable so it really can transform itself into a mini case! Buy it in a neutral color and it can be worn with just about anything or splurge on a brilliant bold hue to stand out from the rest.

Here in New York, the weather has been playing tricks on us…sometimes it’s almost balmy and the next day it’s crisp. So, I’ve found my Mongolian sheep vest extremely useful. I’m loving exaggerated jackets and vests right now. I’ve seen a lot of options at Zara and H & M. If you want to go for the luxe route, you can find the same one I’m wearing from 3.1 Phillip Lim. For Halloween, I was Queen for the night as Queen Elizabeth the I! I have to say that my favorite costume of the evening was a partygoer dressed as Ali G, from Da Ali G Show. Doesn’t he look just like Sacha Baron Cohen? I hope everyone had a fun and festive evening!

At work, I’m constantly in heels and my feet ache and even start to twitch from discomfort So lately whenever I have to wear high heels out of work, I’ve been sporting something with a platform. That extra inch of platform makes such a big difference! There are some great platform options everywhere from Christian Louboutin to Topshop.
