Something that everyone should know about and that model Christy Turlington is proud to endorse is how to quit smoking. Being a smoker for more than ten years, Christy saw the death of her father from lung cancer and realized that she needed to learn more about the damages of this unhealthy habit. This website can help you quit smoking, learn more about the effects and educate readers on how damaging smoking really is. Remember- ‘smoking is ugly‘. So Quit.
So I just turned 21...it seems pretty young to most people but I feel in this industry it's actually quite old haha. However, I'm at a really cool time in my life where I am combining my modeling with my passion for art and all that comes with it.
Whenever I can, I take time to paint and immerse myself in the art world. I am originally from Perth, on the west coast of Australia but I am now living in Grammercy Park in NYC. It's really hard being away from home but I get by with the support from my best friends.
I always have new projects happening to keep me busy and right now I am studying online through a university in Australia. I have a blog I post my art on with some creative writing too. Im into health and exercise - I love researching and learning about health foods and I have been practicing yoga for around four years now.
I'm a capricorn through and through, I'm obsessed with Facebook, French Vogue, Prince, dangerously high shoes, my Holga camera and anything Japanese. I love dressing up, red wine, velvet, sneezing, art directing, coffee, Buddhism, Bali, glitter, raw food, fearless little kids, hip hop music, cartoons, sun and the beach.

When I was in Japan a few months ago (before coming back to Sydney- but more on that later!) I was shooting for Madame Figaro. They asked if i could bleach my eyebrows for the job, which was fine with me, but i suggested the stylist do it to….and she did! It’s a pretty wicked look, but becomes pretty weird when your brows start to grow out again!
We celebrated last night with a traditional Shabu-shabu dinner in Tokyo. Its such an amazing experience having dinner here in Japan. Everything is so particular and they take so much care in the way they present and undertake the normal routine of eating. The tofu was home-made and the sake was amazing. The chicken was so fresh that you only needed to boil it in the water for a few seconds (they told us to say shabu-shabu as we dipped it in the water).
I landed here a week ago and I’m staying in a great area in central Tokyo. I spent my first day off shopping in Shibuya at a really cool department store called 109. Its filled with amazing cheap finds (albeit amongst some awful knock-offs) and if you come to Tokyo you MUST go there. (warning: its 7 levels of utter madness)
Plus- it’ s near the famous Shibuya crossing
I was lucky enough to be invited to a Valentino party earlier this week at The Boom Boom Room in The Standard Hotel, NYC. I love any excuse to dress up and it was a great night to see friends and catch up in the new hotel space and see the amazing skyline of NYC
I am enjoying some amazing quality time at home for a few weeks and I just thought I would share with you all some pics of the new Canteen Bandanna (National Bandanna day in Australia is OCTOBER 30th!).
As you can see, it suits my dog Charlie, although he isn’t such a fan of having it on and having his photo taken! If you are in Australia, please pick up a scarf to help support CanTeen and the great work they do to support young Aussies living with cancer (12-24) and their families- as they did with a good friend of mine.
CanTeen is also a Charter member of the LIVESTRONG Young Adult Alliance and you can get involved in Bandanna Day further here
